Ruth Eleanor Nyberg

Ruth Eleanor Nyberg

Ruth Eleanor Nyberg was born February 20, 1893 in Zimmerman, MN. She was the fifth child born to August & Maria Nyberg. This picture of Ruth, was taken shortly before her death in St. Louis Park, MN. Her husband, Earl L. Ribble, is in this next picture.

Earl Ribble, Walter & Otto, Bertha & Ruth

The two boys at the top are Ruth’s brothers, Walter and Otto. The girl in front in the middle is her sister Bertha.

Ruth was pregnant at the time of her death. Her death certificate states that the cause of her death was peritonitis and kidney lesions. She is buried in Hillside cemetery in Northeast Minneapolis in an unmarked grave. We have not yet been able to locate Earl Ribble, although his name is mentioned occasionally in letters and postcards. It seems he was a friend of Elmer's, and may even have worked with him at Pittsburgh Plate Glass.

Johan Daniel Nyberg

Johan Daniel Nyberg

Johan Daniel Nyberg was born July 11, 1891, in Stillwater, MN. He was the fourth child born to August & Maria Nyberg. We have very little information about him. In 1905 he was living in Livonia with this family. In 1913 he was living at 3004 Harriet Avenue North in Minneapolis. It seems that he used the name Dan instead of Johan or John. He never married, or had any children. Dan had epilepsy since he was 7 years old. He died August 30, 1919 of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. He is buried in Hillside cemetery in Northeast Minneapolis. We were able to locate his grave, but there is not a headstone on it.

This history is dedicated to our ancestors for giving us life,
and to our descendants for making our lives worthwhile.

We all owe our ancestors some sort of debt and the least
we can do to pay them back is to record their existence
.
