Elmer
Andrew Rudolph Nyberg was born on March 18, 1897
in Livonia, MN. He was the seventh child born to
August and Maria.

Elmer
at about 6 years old
He lived
there with his family until they moved to
Minneapolis. He worked as a glazier for
Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. On August 16, 1926 he
married Mae Poescheker, from Elk River, MN. They
had a daughter named Wanda. After a few years
this marriage ended, and Mae and Wanda moved to
Seattle, WA. Wanda still lives in Seattle and
continues to keep in touch with the family.
Alice
and Elmer, Arn and Ron, and Paul (circa 1943)
Elmer then
met Alice Johnson. She was from Eagle Bend, MN.
After their marriage on October 28, 1935, they
lived in the house they built in Brooklyn
Center, MN.
They had
twin boys, Ronald and Arnold, born March 20,
1938, and Paul, born March 23, 1941. The boys
were very young when they lost their father. On
August 5, 1948, Elmer died in a tragic accident
at work, and left Alice to raise the boys by
herself. She went back to school and became a
school teacher. Alice passed away on July 9,
1999.
Ron
married Andrea Lambie on September 29, 1962 and
they live in New Brighton, MN. They have two
boys, Jason and Eric.
Arn
married Phyllis Saporito on March 3, 1962. They
have a son named Tom and a daughter named Cindy.
Arn passed away o August 4, 1995.
Paul
married Gayle Swanson on November 10, 1961 and
have three children: Catherine, Coreen, and
David.
